During this class you will learn:

  1. How to build a life together with harmony. It’s an art not a science to mix, match, and blend your backgrounds together.  Whether you are planning a wedding ceremony or just preparing for your life together, learn how to create a shared vision to help you avoid challenges.  Navigating issues around identity, culture, race, and faith in your multi-identity relationship and family isn't always easy.  But with the right tools, skills, foundation to do it will make your life a whole lot easier and less stressful.

  1. How to avoid disagreements and prevent misunderstandings. The way we communicate is often the way we learned to communicate growing up. Miscommunication is common when you have different communication styles. Learn how to get your partner talking, how to get on the same page together, and avoid those disagreements that just get you frustrated and have your conversation going in circles.

  2. Prepare for future life events. Extra preparation, thought, and planning is often needed for multicultural and interfaith couples whether it's getting ready for a wedding or preparing for the birth of child.  There are many factors to consider.  Find out how to take the worry, stress, and overwhelm out of your planning. Learn how to create a blended vision for your life event and how to go about making it happen.

  3. How to Find Other People Like You. When you are part of an interfaith and multicultural relationship, it can often feel like you are the only one with your unique situation. You often wish you could just know a few other people that have “been there, done that” so you have some advice to follow. Learn how to stop feeling isolated and start connecting to other couples and families like you.

  4. At the end of the class, you will know exactly what steps you can take as a couple to avoid stress, confusion, and overwhelm now and in the future.  You will leave with a plan of how to create harmony and happiness in your relationship and family. So let’s go navigate those challenges.
